Performance Hacks : PDQuick Retail Software uses the Windows Printer Spooler to send data to the printers and pole display. If you find that there is latency when ringing up items you can try changing the Windows Spooler Priority. We cannot guarantee this will improve performance due to numerous conditions such as your Pole Display Driver, Computer performance and many other factors outside of our control. We also find USB devices have the poorest performance of all windows interfaces types regardless of your USB's version level. 1. Open the Windows Task Manager. 2. Click Services then scroll down to spoolsv.exe 3. RIGHT mouse click, scroll to Set Priority. 4. Try various settings to see if you can get better performance. 5. If you Restart Windows the setting may revert back to normal priority. Consult with your local computer expert to make these settings permanent if necessary. |
