LAN Server Side Installation:
Use any PC running a compatible version of Windows. You may use a dedicated or non-dedicated computer. PDQuick Retail Software uses the Windows Peer-to-Peer networking topology that comes built into every Windows computer and there is nothing else to buy. Note: For high reliability use any currently supported Windows OS on a dedicated computer. For absolute mission critical situations and high reliability we recommend using Windows Server 2019 (version 1809) or Windows Essentials Server 2022 on a dedicated computer. Follow these steps very closely. Obtain professional networking help if required. Run the downloaded program file BTFULL.EXE on your Server or Main Computer. The PDQuick Retail Software Installer will start automatically. After Server Side Installation: Set under Network and Sharing Center your computer network to PRIVATE. Share the ENTIRE PDQ 40 Folder on your LAN server or main computer. Set Share Permissions to Full Control, Read, Write for the user EVERYONE on the PDQuick Retail Software folder. The final step is to shutdown and restart your server or main computer so these changes can take effect. |

| Workstation Multi-Station Terminal Installation |
| DO NOT install multiple copies of PDQuick Retail Software on the Workstations. |

Workstation Database Drivers:
Open Windows Explorer on your Workstation and browse to the network folder that was PREVIOUSLY shared to the PDQuick Retail Software folder name. On the Workstation (not the file server) RUN PdQuick_WS_Setup.exe, this will install database drivers and printer drivers. You only need to do this one time on the workstation.

Create a PDQuick Retail Software Start Icon on your Workstation:
Open Windows Explorer on your Workstation and browse to the network folder that was PREVIOUSLY shared to the PDQuick Retail Software folder name. Right mouse click on PDQ.EXE then choose Send to Desktop. This will create an icon that can access the POS program over the network on the shared drive.
